Homemade Q Dope

Published: 10/13/2014

I was making some toroidal inductors and wanted to fix the coils in place after I finished tweaking them.

Epoxy and most other glues are not great because of their high dielectric constant. A polystyrene cement is better.

It's available as "Q-Dope" from MG Chemicals, but I had the necessary ingredients around the shop so I made my own.

Also, it's a sweet pink color.
